I could go into the whole rigamarole about what gear I used and how I got started, but what I really want you to know about me is my WHY.  Why I choose to create images that focus on the authentic, real you.  I want the people who know and love you to look back on these images and remember you, remember a feeling or a connection.  I want you to see the way your family looks at you, how they love you. I want you to remember the way it was.

I was in the middle of raising my toddlers when I hesitated in taking a picture of a perfectly curated moment. That is when it hit me like a ton of bricks: they wont care. They wont care about a picture of a fake baking session. What they will care about are those moments preserved; they will want to remember the way it was.

I was out visiting my Grandma, my Memere, in Alberta.  I was there for three days and in those three days she relived her past through story telling via images.  A bookshelf full of pictures. These are the things she chose to bring with her to her assisted living home. Pictures. Printed pictures I might add. We visited her neighbour and you know what he brought out? You guessed it… pictures. They use them to remember the way it was.

I want to remember.

Do not go to the blog to be awe inspired with poetic writings about my feelings and how a warm fall day inspired me to bake a fall type cake. I just can’t. I don’t have it in me. But do go to see pretty pictures and my goings-on. There will be some writing though, about as bad as this little blurb, so if you can stomach it, go visit. 

I am also told it’s the thing that helps the rankings for “the google” and well, seeing as that’s a pretty big deal for this little business, I will try and indulge in a few posts. However, I would rather post about other people and their families, talents and businesses.  So, if you are interested or in need of some new pictures, let’s connect!
