When expecting moms contact me for maternity sessions, they often are undecided as to what they are wanting in terms of location or “look” for their session. Here are some key options and ideas to make for a successful maternity session, with the style and “look” you are after.

First we distinguish if they are wanting outdoor or indoor. if in studio decide if you are wanting light and airy or dark and moody.

If outdoors we want to think about Locations. Urban or Nature. If a outdoors nature vibe is what you are after think go the seasons. If there is a specific option for the season. Winter, soon or festive. Spring flowers, Summer Lakes and beaches. Fall leaves. you get the idea. I always try to incorporate some seasonal quest to help remember this stage in your pregnancy by.
